          防火閥是一種記憶熔合金的溫度控制，利用重力作用和彈簧機構的作用關閉的閥門形式。新型產品中亦有利用記憶合金產生形變使閥門關閉的。
                
它的作用是：當煙氣溫度達到280℃時，人已基本疏散完畢，排煙已無實際意義，而煙氣中此時已帶火，閥門自動關閉，以避免火勢蔓延。
